We received these 2 sweet souls from a pound in Eastern Ontario We have named them Joey and Frankie, and that is Molly photo bombing the picture. These bonded pair of Schnauzers were in horrible condition; hair matted and dirty with feces and urine. They were cleaned up and now you get to see their cute little faces.
Frankie (right) had a small mass on her chest which was removed and looked fine. She also needed a dental where she lost all her teeth. Some were pulled but most fell out. Then she was spayed, her uterus was ‘ugly’, they had definitely been used for breeding. Other than that Frankie is doing well, loves the yard, food and her soft comfy bed. She will look for Joey if he goes out of sight.
Joey on the other hand has some medical issues. He has a heart condition called Sick Sinus Syndrome, which is a node in the heart that is electronically responsible for initiating a normal heart beat. He also has mitral valve disease. He has very bad teeth and a large fatty lump hanging from his chest. Due to his heart problems it is questionable if we can take care of these problems, we are looking further into this. Like all dogs, Joey does not know he has these problems and loves running around the yard, eating and sleeping in a comfy bed.
